1. No. It's Machine Doubling.
2. Cannot tell. I don't see anything distinctive.

Yes it;s all Machine Doubling if you look at the first U in united you could see that the u looks cut off a clear indication of MD ,and the shelf like images No RPM looks like a damaged d to me
