Hello all,
Attached are two pictures o the mint mark, which appears to be a repunch, and the letters around the coin. Am I correct in the type of doubling for the letters and if so does it anything to potential value when paired with a RMM?

@walt, the step-like doubling which is reducing the width of the letters is Machine Doubling and does not add numismatic value.

to the forum! I'm with Spence, looks to be MD. Look at your shot you gave of the mm included, everything is doubled in the same direction, another clue to MD.

MD is common on halves, for some dates the lack of MD is relatively rarer

What is RMM, never heard of that. Not worth sending in. Your coin is MD not a doubled die.It does have silver value though.

@walt, perhaps you are meaning RPM = re-punched mintmark?

Why submit a coin that is a silver melt coin value coin to spend $50+ to have it put in a slab? You will never get a plus value back to cover the slabbing. Just sell it for melt value and call it a day.

to the CCF!

This one is not a variety or error, as pointed out. While your detailed shots are great, we need to see full images of the coins you post (both obverse and reverse) so we can give you the best answer possible.
