Hello group, I assume many of you also got an email from the US Mint today with the 40% offer on the 2021 annual sets. I was thinking of picking up a Silver Proof set and was curious about the mintage numbers. The US Mint's ordering page says there is an unlimited mintage. While I understand during the production year there would be no limit, but since it is 2022, I figured the production was complete and there would be mintage number recorded.
So I used the "Chat" feature on the order page and asked them what the mintage was and I was told it was unlimited. So I then asked if they are still being minted in 2022 and was told "yes". This seems unlikely but can this be true or did I get a clueless reply?
Are these a decent pick up at 40% off?

Thanks machine20, That total number is consistent with a website that apparently is blocked here: 274,630
Learned two things with this thread...

Well, 40% off is better than the original $105. Any strings attached? I haven't seen the letter.

Does have limits for one of each set. Email says: For a limited time, you can purchase the 2021 Proof Set, Silver Proof Set, or Uncirculated Coin Set for 40% off! This is the perfect opportunity to keep you collection going, or to start a new one at a lower price.
Use code xxxxxxxx at checkout to redeem your discount. 40% discount valid for the 2021 Proof Set, 2021 Silver Proof Set and 2021 Uncirculated Coin Set - this discount applies to each individual set or all three annual sets together! This is a one#8209;time use code and is limited to the purchase of one of each set. Offer is valid until September 30, or until sold out. Don't miss it!

Quote: Do I get a rebate of my original purchase price? Exactly! I did not get the offer. Maybe it was to spare my feelings.

I'd jump on the Silver Proof set at the sale price! Maybe the offer is only good for those on the email list who haven't purchased any of those sets yet?

Actually the Mint calculate the silver at 30$ an oz.. this it is of a long term prediction. If you invest in metal is one thing, if you look for numismatic is other. Choice.
