Found this 1978 penny with the D mint mark filled in. It may just be mdd. Coin isn't in the best condition, thoughts?

@bro, it is a little hard to tell from this pic, but it looks like there might have been a partially broken post on the die used to strike this coin. A close-up would help to confirm, but regardless, I think that this coin is a spender.

The mint mark isn't fully filled in (a result of a partially broken post). A completely filled in mint mark is very distinct.

A broken post is fairly common on P and D mint marks.
