Looks like struck through a hair. I've had this roll for a while and never opened it! Thanks for looking.

Ok I hope this a struck through coin, because the pattern looks odd to me: straight, curved, and then straight again. Could it be scratch, perhaps from someone removing this from a stapled 2x2?

You might be right Spence. It was in a nice roll so I didn't question it. I'll double check in the morning. No loss if it is.

Looks like a scratch. When you zoom in on the pictures you can see it stop and start from the offending object bounces when it hits coin elements.

I am thinking a scratch as well. If it was a struck through, I was going to ask if it is safe to use acetone on a proof coin to get rid of all that debris before putting it in a 2x2. Oh,by the way, great job on the pics. It is not easy getting good pics of a proof coin

im not sure about strike through, but id think its hard to get a staple to make a big scratch like that and perfectly follow through the letters without a gap inbetween where the staple would ineveitably "skip" on the surface when it hit the raised lettering. I may be wrong but thats my input.
