So I either found this guy CRH'ing, or a customer gave it to me, either way, I was checking out how decent the obverse was looking, then thought I mightve had a RPM, but then I flipped it over!?!? So as stated in the title, I'm assuming this is PMD, but is that possible, without leaving a mark on the obverse? Not sure how to push metal around on a coin like this, but I'm guess some bored soul figured it out, or can something like that happen at the Mint?

@CCB,

My uneducated opinion I am thinking possible plating blisters, they can distort devices, go in different directions etc, it's a bit hard to tell from the pictures. 7.

I agree that this is all damage: gouges on UNUM, the roof of the Lincoln Memorial, and AMERICA, plus a potential plating bubble on the steps.

The gouges are PMD. There might be some minor plating blisters but the photo is not in focus enough to say for sure.

Agree with all above. There may be some split plating in the immediate vicinity of the mint mark, which can give a (pseudo) RPM look.
