went through a 500$ box from the bank today---not one silver coin or a " nclt "--- what a bummer--- 1st time that has happened---  |

I got a box of halves last week. I already knew there was nothing once I opened the box. All of the rolls had Bs marked on them. Half rolls with Bs on them in my bank means some other collector looked through them.
But I did look through them anyways and found one 2021 nclt.

Hi, The same thing has happened to me a couple of times now. Even with Lincoln pennies, I could always find 10-12 wheats. Not any more, it seems we have or just about have cleaned out the circulating coins of anything worth of value. The exception to that is a collection dump. I knew I had one when I found 2 treasury tokens from uncirculated sets. You never find 60's pennies with that type of lustre in circulation. Someone's coin collecting relative died or gave them something they did not understand.  |

I guess someone's first or last name starts with a B. I used to draw an X on rolls before the bank got a coin machine.

Would agree a lot of rolls have been picked over these days. Collection dumping still happens, though, but I feel like it's mostly the stuff not considered worthy for estate auctions.

I got 2 boxes of halfs from the bank.This is my first time getting boxes.all of them are brand new 2022 coins!!

EchoCoin2023, maybe not silver but a nice haul nonetheless. Unc 2022 rolls were NIFC (not intended for circulation). They were either bought for a premium from the Mint or part of the half dollar distribution by the Federal Reserve.

Freespeech57, wow, thank you for the information! I almost gonna dump those 2022 half dollars to another bank today! I thought only halfs from 2002-2020 are nifc? So 2022 halfs in uncirculated condition are also nifc? I got a lot more to learn. Thanks.
