These all have similar markings on the torch flame and most likely are Machine Doubling but I need your opinion. I don't see these very often and probably are found in about 1% or less of what I see. I have included two shots of each coin because I wanted you to see the area with out the shadow if possible. Let me know what you think.

Looks MD to me but did you check the reference sites for a match?

Odd how all the dimes have roughly the same thing going on, on different years.
I wonder if it is part of the design. I found the same (almost the same) on a bunch on my Denver dimes in the same location. Not nearly as strong as your, but there.

An easy way to get immediate answers as to whether you have a doubled die, RPM, or OMM. Find them all listed here:
www.varietyvista.com

Scroll down, find the e-book for the coin you are looking for and take the links.

If yours is not listed then you probably have non-collectable doubling such as Machine Doubling or Die Deterioration Doubling (search these topics on this forum and at error-ref.com).

On the newer dimes, this thread will expand your horizons on what to look for on the post 1999 dimes DDR's. They are not what you are looking for on dimes:

Thanks for the help. After looking back on other dimes it now appears to be a part of the design. A close up view seems to show a small amount of Machine Doubling which is usually covered up by the shadow in the picture but these I showed seem to be outside that level. It would be great to know exactly how that happened but for now I will settle for MD as the answer.
