Hello, idiot of the day here lol While vacuum cleaning I accidentally sucked up the 2 in 1 cable cord to the Opqpq 4.3 inch digital microscope. It was so stuck I had to cut it to get it free. Yes, I know stupid. It a new fancy vacuum and where it was stuck no screws. Does ANYONE know of where I may be able get another? Does any one have a extra to sell or trade? Appreciate the help. Thank you, Idiot of the day Edited by Reno911 03/20/2023 5:59 pm

Perhaps someone who plays with repairing cords/wires could help you. Otherwise, whoops! So sorry to hear this but, you rank right up there with some of us as the IOTY!

I tried to pull it first , not even hard and it came right apart. Cord is much softer than computer or phone cords. I'll try a store and search a little more on the net. I was hoping someone may have a old cord from a scope that no longer works or had to replace theirs from a dog chewing it who knows lol. I've been looking and sorting coins for weeks, they're everywhere in this one room I was cleaning along with boxes of coins and it was a stupid mistake on my part and wasn't quick enough to grab it. Trust me, I feel bad.

Obvious question, have you tried contacting the manufacturer?

Is it some sort of proprietary connector or does it use something standard? Maybe if you posted a picture of both ends of the cable we might be able to identify it.

What are the cable ends? The advertising says "USB cable".

Usb cable sync cord. The adapter is just like the cell phone adapters but with two usb ports. The scope came with two cords, one with dual sync where it plugs into scope and plugs into PC at same time with usb on end. Both cord attaching to usb were equal in length. The other one is just a single cord with a usb on one end and other would fit your cell if any of this helps at all. I'm hoping I can find one in a store just gotta get the correct ends. I tried microscope world, nothing there.
I don't know if I'm permitted to mention store's etc... I don't want to violate policy of this site.
Should I find one I'll be sure to post it in case some onendog eats their lol or did what I did.
Thank you every one for your assistance. Worse comes to worse I'll just have to break piggy bank and buy a new one ugh..

Hi Reno911, Take a look here at the connectors video below on that page, it is most likely just a USB-A (on the PC) to USB-A connector (on the microscope) in which case its just a standard USB cable you can get nearly anywhere like a best buy or Amazon if trying to just connect it to the PC and come in different lengths. Some out there might use a smaller connector and therefore would need a USB-A to whatever it is using on the microscope side if its not the same USB-A as the PC but is smaller (such as USB-A to Micro USB is popular for microscopes) and also easy to find all over. https://www.lifewire.com/what-is-a-usb-port-818166

Come back and let us know if you get it working or if not just post a photo of the connector on the microscope if possible which would have made it easier. It looked to me like a USB-A (on PC) to micro usb (on microscope) cable which is what is on my tomlov, or some use the standard same USB-A on the microscope so that would be a USB-A to USB-A and both of those cables are at all the electronics stores. If you bring the microscope they will also help to make sure its the right cable for that connector you have, but you wont be needing a new microscope. The worst case that happens is when the manufacturer uses some proprietary connector just for their unit and in those cases only you have to then buy the cable from the company at their typically inflated prices, where these other cables being common are much cheaper and made by more than one company.
