I have a 1963 $2 red seal star note, with a 2 digit serial #. I collect mainly coins but have a few unique notes. SN is 00000032A
My dilemma is to keep this or sell it, I know finding another one like this would be difficult. All I could find searching was a similar note that sold and was a 3 digit SN. (sold for $449 on eBay), nothing on heritage.
Sorry, No photo's, they are on my work computer and I am at home now but I can load them tomorrow.
The note is very crisp with sharp corners and great color. light horizontal fold with faint vertical folds (2). the folds are faint and do not appear to be creases. I would grade as choice VF.
I know it is hard without pics, but in general what is the value range?
Thanks for any input! RK

A description provides some detail, but pictures provide all the needed details.

While I don't collect "fancy'" serial numbers this is a note I would consider keeping (depending on value). I think it would grade VF35 maybe XF40. It has nice eye appeal but the central fold is clearly noticeable while the side folds are there.
EPQ (original paper) is also possible. If it was me, the question is "Would I enjoy the note or another item more?"
If this notes sell for ~$400, I would not keep it there are other items in the $400 range I would rather have. If this note was worth $50 or under, I would keep it.

I can easily see that note, once graded, bring at least $400 at auction. Maybe more if there's two spirited collectors of serial number 32 competing for it. It looks XF to me.

Thanks for the opinions!
I decided to throw it up on the bay. I have a few coins on my want list so I am trying not to get side tracked. I would like to keep it but the proceeds can go towards an 1881cc GSA Morgan I have a chance to get.

@ morgans dad, I prefer Raw. Old school here plus the fact it is costing more and more to send items out for grading. a good start on the note....its over $300 as I write. I received more than a few "what is your buy it now price" lol. told em its up for auction so everyone has a fair chance to own it. It looks like SteveinTampa nailed it, there are at least 2 bidders that want it, both of whom sent messages on a BIN price.
