Hi All, please help me identify what this coin (maybe medal?) is. I do not speak or read Arabic, so for me it is no chance  I would appreciate at least the name and date, so I can further look for it on the internet. Many thanks!!! I attached photographs of both its sides. It is 12.5 grams and 4.5cm (diameter)   Edited by iuliia

What is the diameter and the weight?
It has the general look of a late Ottoman Empire coin, but not one for standard circulation (or it could be a jeweler's copy).
The size and weight will help to refine the search.

it looks Turkish-Ottoman Empire. The language is not Arabic, but uses the Arabic script.
However, I cannot find the date or even the type, hence I don't think that it is an official gold coin.
Could we have the weight and diameter? Is it gold or do you know?

I think this object is (or is trying to be) a type of piece called "Monnaie de Luxe" which were struck in late Ottoman Empire and in the early Turkish Republic. They were not normal circulation coins, but presentation/gift pieces, often used for jewelry (many of them are holed).
They were often (but not always) struck to similar size standard as normal denominations like 100 kurush (7.2 g. gold) or 250 kurush (18 g. gold).
Your piece is unusual in that it does not bear a date (as far as I can tell), and the size does not fit any of the standard denominations. That suggests to me that it's maybe trying to imitate these types.
You can search on the terms Ottoman Monnaie de Luxe, and see if you could find an exact match. Or maybe someone else will find a match.
