So when I first got into wheat cents I had no idea what I was doing so I opened two rolls of 1955-S uncirculated pennies and looked at them one by one and gently placed them in this bowl. Absolutely terrible place to store them. About to go through them now and get them tucked away properly but yikes, I messed up.

I don't think that this is the type of Wheaties I should have put in a bowl...at least I didn't put milk on them!

Hard to capture the beauty of these in a photo but the luster is incredible. Most of them have some kind of bag mark or slight scuff preventing them from truly epic grades but still all are very nice examples overall. Went through about half of them tonight.

Nice looking examples. Good to see that you've learned some things and will be putting these away.

The 3rd coin in your photos appears to have an obverse clash.

Is that what those little horizontal lines mean? Die clash?

That was my initial thought as I don't know of any other minting process that would cause them. I suspect a clashed die with most of the clash remnants polished off.

I could be wrong - we need to see one of coop overlays to determine if those lines in the left obverse field correspond to the outline of the reverse side Memorial building feature.

It's a Wheat cent, so what part of the reverse die would make horizontal lines in a die clash?

Thanks. These coins were easier to photograph than most. It's like they want to show off!
