PCGS - Clashed "E" Morgan dollars are extremely popular and exist across nine issues. PCGS recognizes four with a prominent "E" on the reverse, five with a "Partial E", and two with a "Weak E".

So what exactly are the 9 different dates to look for? The video only shows three.

There are 10 date/mm combos listed in VamWorld with known E-clashes:

Thanks for providing this video.

OK, I had to search for the answer. So that others don't have to search here they are. 78p, 80p, 83 O, 84P, 86 O, 87P, 88 O, 89 O, 89 CC, 91 O, and 21P.

All of those were listed in the link I provided above, excepting the 21-P. I don't see any references to an E-clashed 1921 Morgan on VamWorld.

@Bump111, I must admit that I didn't see your link with the varieties until after I had already done some research and posted the dates myself. My apologies! And now for the life of me I can't find the thread I clicked on which included the 21P. Anyway, thanks for the list. I will keep an eye out for these now.

Very nice coin, @livingwater. The '91O is definitely the king of the E-clash Morgans. I don't think I've ever seen a mint state example and your is much better than mine.

In case you haven't seen it, here is an interesting 1891 report from the mint director detailing the discovery of this clash during routine assay inspections:

@ Bump111, thanks for the link to the report, I had not seen that and enjoyed reading it. Very worn but here's mine of the last die stage. I made the pics with the R-7 description before Vamworld dropped these designations. Likely not R-7 but still rather rare.

I love when VAM's get spotlighted.

I have two 1891-O's, both raw circulated coins, VAM's 1A2 and 1A3. I still look for them regularly when browsing random eBay listings or silver stacks at coin shows. I haven't really investigated die states on my examples, though.
