Weight Of 1970-S Dimes - Coin Community Forum

MRC4U New Member United States 12 Posts	Posted 07/12/2023 01:51 am I bought a new scale and after calibrating it I started weighing sometimes from the 1970s and just felt "off". They are mostly late seventies and consistently weigh 2.9-3.2 grams. Nothing under the scope appears unusual just their weight. There are 4- 1703D, 2-1975 nmm, 2-1977D, 2-1978D, 1-1978nmm & 1-1979D. I weighed well over 100 different dimes some silver, some not that weighed what they were supposed to. Anyone have any answers as to why they would weigh so much? Report this Post to the Staff
