Sacagawea dollar out of tolerance by roughly 2 grams is this a plachet issue?

I've read about, but have never seen, counterfeits circulating in Central America that are under weight. Could be one of those, but it's more likely struck on a thin planchet

Yea I heard about counterfeits but they were all in tolerance...is a rolled thin planchet gonna be off by 2 grams?

Has anybody heard of an experimental rinse? Trying to do research on it but ran into a wall

Take it to a coin or gold buyer store who has an XRF and asked them to zap it, most likely a thin planchet

Pretend you want to sell it most dealers will XRF to find out what kind of planchet it is

If it were just the core (no cladding) it would be 100% copper. Outer layer should be 77% copper and 23% zinc, manganese, and nickel.
