Newbie Inherited My Parents Collection (But Enjoying The History) Coin I Can't Pin Down?

Coin's I can't pin down please, any advise? srs2000 New Member United Kingdom 4 Posts	Posted 12/05/2023 3:53 pm Thank you all for your welcome and reply's, I have no clue what "Ottoman" means do they have a lot of history ? and yes "january1may" they do look golden in colour. I've only looked at a small sample of the coins but of the ones I can make out they are from all over the world, inc Indonisien, UAE, Austria, Sweden, Iran, Spain, Luxembourg etc the list goes on. Second, our member @sap will be around at some point to weigh in, but the newness of design and date of AH 1223 lead me to conclude that this isn't a gold Ottoman coin, but rather a gilt imitation used for weddings or jewelry purposes. Often they are holed, but not always.
