I'm starting to get depressed - seeing all these intentionally damages coins...  This one also has been damaged by grinding or sanding. Coins should be used for spending, saving for a 'rainy day' or collecting - not for damaging to rip somebody off by trying to 'create' an error coin. |

Post-strike damage, yes. Intentional or not is somewhat speculative. If coins could talk...

What got me curious is if you look at the arch it's smooth on the inside if it was from a grinder or anything like that well why ain't there anymore on the outside of the arch

Without explaining what you were referring to, everyone just assumed you were talking about the severe damage to the obverse. Here is a side by side pic of yours and a normal coin. The design looks the same.  -makecents-

I see grinding lines going two different directions on the reverse. Even if it was something other than PMD like grease in the die, the obverse damage precludes any value. Not that greased dies have any value to being with... |

to the CCF and The obverse is sanded down on an angle to just sand down the rim. The reverse is sanded down flat. The center sticks out more than the rest of the coin, so it's the first thing to be sanded off. We see a lot of these here. |
