Probably professionally restored. I can't see any problems with it. There's a dark spot in front of the nose, but I don't think that's a problem at all.

Given the images posted, the obverse--to me--appears burnished. Something akin to rubbing it vigorously with a cloth.

Absolutely not original. One of the diamonds even looks re-engraved.

Definitely doesn't look original & has been messed with.
I've been collecting for a couple years... Favorite Coin's are Standing Liberty quarters, Working on my type set | Coffee, Corvettes, Coins & the CCF what could be better?
