I just received this email from the US Mint. Quote:Dear Valued Customer, To maintain transparency and a positive customer experience, we are reaching out to share an important update.
Due to metals cost, pricing adjustments are being evaluated across all numismatic products. In addition, rapidly rising silver prices may result in silver numismatic products being temporarily removed from sale while pricing is updated.
We are working expeditiously to update pricing in order to maintain product availability. However, we wanted to communicate in advance in case you notice changes on the United States Mint website.
Once pricing has been updated, we will notify you. For the most current product pricing and availability information, please visit our product schedule at: https://www.usmint.gov/product-schedule/
Please note: Subscriptions are subject to pricing adjustments. Please review your active subscriptions and payment methods as needed.
Thank you for your continued support of the United States Mint and its products.

Yes, we expected it. Just surprised they took so long to admit it.

The 2024 W uncirculated ASEs are still at $91 each. I just snagged 6 of them for my grandkids.

After getting this email, my FOMO won out and I ordered the 2023 LESPS and a 2023 Unc. Silver Eagle. I had already ordered the 2024 LESPS last week after eyeing the price of silver. I figured this could be the last time I order silver coins from the Mint, given the upcoming price increases. My commemorative silver dollar type set might have ended with 2025.

I'm curious to see how much - percentage wise - prices are increased. For instance, suppose that the Mint sold a silver item for $100 last year and the silver in it was worth $50. With silver doubling in cost, would they double the silver portion of the price (to $150) or double the cost of the item ($200) ?
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Some things Never change......... We saw this Coming.... When spot was $45-50 The mint was charging about $100.00/oz. I see about $155.00- 175.00 per ASE when spot is @$85.00/oz. Just my thoughts.

At the beginning of 2025, the mint repriced silver products to be ~3x spot price. Get ready for $250 silver eagles...

Don't forget about the Morgan and Peace dollars up for sale too. I don't believe they are quite a full troy OZ like the Silver Eagles but they are pretty nice looking coins. Not a bad buy at only like $5 over spot.
