So, I went to my local bank and asked for dimes. They told me I could have $100 worth, and I was happy they had any. Mix of CWR, machine wrapped rolls, and I think they're called shotgun rolls? Anyway, I found something great, so I went back and they gave me another $50. Here's what I found.

1944 Merc
1999-S
2009-D
2009-P x7

Also, not sure where to put this, but last week I brought home a box of dimes from my bank, and after opening it found it to be all 2020s. I went to a different branch and explained how I'd like older/circulated dimes instead, they were happy to switch it for a different box. While speaking with the teller, I asked if they had any dollar coins, and he said they had exactly 5. He pulled them out and showed them to me. He began to put one back and said, "You probably aren't interested in this one. It looks pretty new." I saw it and asked to purchase it as well. Nothing mind-blowing, but picture is below. Turned out it was a 2019-S Sacagawea; no wonder it looked so shiny new!

Happy hunting!

Brought home a box of dimes, $100.00 worth. Roll 13 had a nice 1963P. It has taken 4 days to go through the 20 rolls, as I purchased the dime books from 1965 to date, and started saving them to the books when I found nice circulated dates.
Good luck, Happy Hunting, Webekin

Brought home a box of dimes, $100.00 worth. Roll 3 and 6 both had 1961 dimes. The clean one is nice condition.

Found a few more for my dime books. Still need the 1980 dimes. And I'm still saving all 1965-69 dimes, regardless of condition. GL HH Webekin

I went to the bank to get some dimes, but they were closed. Probably because of Christmas Eve. A friend of my parents and I gave me a full $25 cent box, and some loose rolls also.

As some of you saw earlier, I found 19 Silver Halves at a local bank today after going there specifically for Nickels and Dimes... three of the dime rolls the teller had looked different - one was a customer wrapped roll and two were old style Security Pacific and Bank of America rolls which were used in the 70s and 80s... I asked the teller if she had any other "funny looking ones" but she didn't... the rest of her rolls were normal looking CWR and MWR rolls... I got home and weighed the three "off" rolls... the bank wrapped ones both weighed right around the normal 114 grams... but the customer wrapped roll was a VERY different story...

Needless to say, my heart skipped a beat... knowing very well a silver dime weighs 2.50 grams, the roll weight of 125.18 grams told me I had found something I had always dreamed of finding - a full roll of silver dimes!

Pouring out the roll onto my table indeed confirmed this, as y'all can see...

The breakdown by date:
1946, 1948-D, 1952-D, 1952-S (2), 1953-D (2), 1954-D, 1956-D (6), 1957, 1957-D (3), 1958-D (2), 1959-D (3), 1960-D (3), 1961-D (4), 1962-D (2), 1963 (2), 1963-D (3), 1964-D (13)

The 1948-D, and (believe it or not) 1956-D filled holes in my CRH/Coinstar finds Silver Roosevelt dimes folder. I'm now at 36 of 48 found (75%)... only missing 1949, 1949-D, 1950-D, 1950-S, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1955, 1955-D, 1955-S, 1960, and 1962.

I don't usually do Quarters, but I'm gonna head back there tomorrow morning to see if said teller has any odd looking quarter rolls along with checking to see if she has any pennies. BTW, the bank wrapped rolls of dimes all were coins dated 1965-1980 with a number of BU 1976-Ds (those are worth a good amount above face)...
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,300,000 nickels searched in five years! Already have found THREE complete Jefferson sets!
