Indian1 Pillar of the Community United States 3640 Posts	Posted 04/26/2010 12:50 am I keep seeing this " Struck Through Grease" If no relief or very little on a coin and it is not from die wear etc. there could be dozens of types of debris other than "Grease" No way to tell for certain what that debris may be unless (as I have found) and this was on a newer dated coin (I.E.: 1999 Lincoln Cent)that actually still had grease on the coin in the area of the date. If I had a nickel for every debris struck through cent that I found I could pay off my auto ins. every year in full. Nice to keep a few that have no date etc. for fun and learning and just kicks. but no real premium for them. Report this Post to the Staff
