If the line going through the mint mark is raised, I would say that is from a cracked die do to fatigue or over use of that die.

Agreed with regularguy ...... if the line is raised above the surface of the coin then this is a die crack.

These are quite common in the War Nickel series of coins ..... I suppose it is a fine example of our nation using all they had to the very end of useful life.

Anyways ..... I have a complete War Nickel series at MS66+ ..... and 9 of 11 of those coins has a die crack somewhere.

BTW .... nice coin .... was this a roll find?

Yes the line is raised.Not a roll find,going thru stuff that was left to me.

I've seen this die crack before; it actually had a nickname attached to it; the "Flagpole" die crack. Nice example of one of these!

I have seen it before as well, using the name Dollar Sign due to it's similarity to the $ symbol.

I agree with ACE Mike. Most die cracks are not worth a premium but this one would be,how much you ask ...don't know.
