Most of the Franklin half dollars are common. The Walking Liberty half dollars do have key dates, so look through them carefully. If you have a Red Book to identify the key dates, use it. Don't use it for a value guide as most values are inflated. The 1908 Indian Head cent caught my eye. Check for an S mintmark on the reverse. That's a key date. Unfortunately, a good majority of the coins appear to have been cleaned which will lower their value. The 2-Cent piece is a common date and appears corroded and cleaned. All the others appear to be common dates as well but the 1894-S Quarter is a nice score. The Mason penny is worthless, keepsake only. Let me see if I can get some values. Others will be glad to help too I'm sure ;-)

The best thing that you can do for your self is go buy a "Whitman" The offical Red Book of United States coins. You can find it at any coin store near you and prolly less then $20. Way to many things that you need to look for but that book has a price guide in it and will tell you the dates to look for and how to judge the quality. Here is the book----> http://www.whitmanbooks.com/Default...D=079482580X

Agree with the rest, buy a RedBook, it will let you know if you have a scarce key date coin.

1856 half, between $20-$50.. 1921,1891-d Morgan dollars, around $20 each very nice 1894-D barber quart. I'm no expert, but it looks XF-AU range, AT LEAST $100+ coin... 1865 2c, probly $15 bucks.. 1910 V nickel, probly $10-$15 in F-VF condition 1916? Barber dime, look on reverse for mint mark.. 1863 Indian cent, in that conditon, $8-$10... common date indians, $1-$1.50 lots of franklins, I cant see the dates or conditions of them, melt value alone is $600+ walking liberties: $765 melt.. i cant tell from the dates on those, ones to look for are 1916-17, 1921-p,d,s 400 more silver dimes you got $700+ more... wow.. good investment...

I'm sure you meant S. Yeah, that is a good looking coin. I suggest putting that one in an airtite.

WOW wish I had those to cherry pick through. First thing is to get a coin price guide. The Red Book or Blue book. The Red Book is a (higher) retail price guide, This is closer to the price a coin dealer sells. The Blue book is closer to what a coin dealer will pay. Be careful some dealers will just count the amounts and give you a flat bulk rate offer (wholesale). Regardless of all this, the spot price of silver is UP, http://www.silverrecyclers.com/Calc...ulator.aspx! So either the books are not that accurate. Surf the web and look at prices. I use the Coin Dealer Newsletter (CDN) monthly supplement https://www.greysheet.com/commerce/...df_login.asp. This is updated monthly and is most accurate. The CDN has a bid and ask price for most coins and grades. You will have to create an account and fork over 4 bucks. You can also surf around the web for coin price sites. I like http://www.coinstudy.com/ , whatever you do, don't sell them wholesale until you cherry pick them yourself!

Hopefully you can take your time with these and grade them accurately. Then in 5-10 years you may have a nice nest egg.
