biokemist6 Bedrock of the Community United States 12437 Posts	Posted 11/21/2010 1:45 pm It is struck through a generic(illegible date) capped die. It would start out as a brockage but as the cap continued striking coins, it would spread out and the Monticello details would disappear while the ghost image of Jefferson would start showing through from the capped die. A die adjustment strike would have weakness on both sides along with an indistinct rim. Report this Post to the Staff
