oh cool, those arent worth much though right? I found one a couple months ago and was told it is just a capped die. I sold mine on the forum for 20$

Would this qualify as a die adjustment strike? Jeff's portrait is all there, as well as some lettering.I have only one auction to reference, and one like this was posted as such. Sold for 85.00 You nickel guys heard of this?

It is struck through a generic(illegible date) capped die. It would start out as a brockage but as the cap continued striking coins, it would spread out and the Monticello details would disappear while the ghost image of Jefferson would start showing through from the capped die. A die adjustment strike would have weakness on both sides along with an indistinct rim.
