BU 2000-D Dime: Smooth Edge, No Initials, Flat Fasces

GoldenEagle Valued Member United States 70 Posts	Posted 04/06/2011 11:58 pm New Images I was coin roll hunting and came across a 2000D Dime in awesome condition. It has a completely smooth edge, much like a nickel and does not appear to have the "clad" composition where you can see a transition of the metals. Instead, it looks to be a single metal strike completely through. Looking at the coin from the side, the edge appears to be a perfect right angle. The coin is the correct dime size. The coin is also missing the initials of the artist under Roosevelt's head. Finally, the fasces on the reverse of the dime is flat and shows no detail. The coin does not appear worn at all. Since these images are so hi-def, they are about 2mb each. For some reason, my tiny thumbnails are not working on this site and they're too big to upload directly onto here. About the dime not looking real, it might not be. It is missing some key details and has a completely smooth edge. Report this Post to the Staff
