1957-D/D With Doubling Or RPD/Repunched Mint Mark / RPM ?

Atteckus New Member United States 8 Posts	Posted 02/22/2014 2:07 pm I inherited a coin collection from my late uncle and this baby was found within. Is this worthless Machine Doubling, or something more valuable? I could not find anything that matches in the Copper Coins database. Thanks in advance for your comments and suggestions. I am also a coin dealer and sell hundreds of coins each year. I think a value of $2 is reasonable. There are people who would just think it is neat. People will pay for anything they think is neat or they think they need. I had a Customer come in the other day and ask if we had a 1973-S LMC, in any condition, as it was the last one he needed for his collection. I told him "not unless I have one in pocket change". We laughed, he asked me to look...and...well...darn, there was one! He gave me a dime for it and left a happy man. You just never know. Report this Post to the Staff
