I inherited a coin collection from my late uncle and this baby was found within. Is this worthless Machine Doubling, or something more valuable? I could not find anything that matches in the Copper Coins database. Thanks in advance for your comments and suggestions.

Maybe a couple of bucks on a good day but, YOU just provided the CCF members with great pictures and an answer from Coop.
A learning experience for all.

It's still a cool looking example of Machine Doubling on the 1957-d I would keep it anyway...

If it were BU, there may be more interest. But circulated, a lot less interest is shown.
Rest in Peace

I think it is one of the best examples of MD I've seen. I would 2x2 and stick it away. I am also a coin dealer and sell hundreds of coins each year. I think a value of $2 is reasonable. There are people who would just think it is neat. People will pay for anything they think is neat or they think they need. I had a Customer come in the other day and ask if we had a 1973-S LMC, in any condition, as it was the last one he needed for his collection. I told him "not unless I have one in pocket change". We laughed, he asked me to look...and...well...darn, there was one! He gave me a dime for it and left a happy man. You just never know.
