Have these photos been distorted? I'm getting a sort of fisheye-lens effect.

I just noticed that myself, Kefiroth. The photos were resized using Infranview, as they were too large. Sel_691, thanks for opinion.

U.S. grading standard would be EF-40, but the eye appeal is not impressive. For that reason I'd say market value is high end VF.

Ear and platt showing so a smidge above VF although eye appeal is low and toning suspect.

Thanks for comments. This is actually the first time I tried to resize using Infranview. I'll have to look at original.

Very Fine on the British scale, I'd say. It's really quite a nice coin, but a bit too much wear (especially on the obverse) to be any higher.

I've based my grade on experience and also reference to Grading British Coins 1797-1970 by Derek Francis Allen.
When asighning a value to a grade,eye appeal and edge knocks must be considered.

Thanks for opinions. I think my coin is somewhere between F and VF, on British scale.
