The doubling looks to me like the die was wearing some. Sorry, not uncommon.

I was happy I finaly got 300 dolars of Kennedy half fron a bank I pick the secon one and bang I see double on the lip and letter liberty plus the head looks like it was punch sideway! But well I god 598 to go!!

It could be slide doubling, or some of both. It is MD though. I bet you do find some good coins in those rolls. Good luck!

I agree it is machine damage after the strike. Not hub doubling. The devices are reduced a bit after the strike.

Don't forget to look for the many varieties. DDOs especially.

The 1974-D and 1972 are really nice DDOs. The 71-D and 73 D are also pretty good.

Also the 1972-D, 1982, and 1983 are known without the designer's initials, FG, on the REV.
