This is hilarious because I have also been placed on a monthly allowance for my coin collecting and my wife thinks I am goofy for things like dropping $4 on a nickel, even though it's a Liberty V in F condition. Those sorts of things just go over her head. To her it's still paying $4 for a nickel and it sounds like a bad business transaction. I am glad to see that many of you are in the same boat with me!

I sometimes find it amazing the mind set of some people. I have friends that cant understand how I can "waste" money on coins, and they will be telling me this while standing in line at the local store to spend $5, $6, or $7 on a pack of cigarettes. The way I feel, is that it is all in how you look at it, and what makes you happy. If spending up to $10 per day on a pack of cigarettes, or spending every night in the bar, and not remembering where your money went makes you happy, then more power to you. Me, it makes me happy to buy coins, and see them whenever I want.

coinmap I am glad someone else had a view I had not thought about as well and that is where we spend our money on everything else. If I cut out buying a snack in the morning and lunch each day I could have a ton more money to spend on other things.
