Potential NGC Star Quality - Coin Community Forum

Its a shame there some nice coin that have been grade too but not to many STARS There is a few Seated * Barbers & Mercury but the Roosey gets little respect Report this Post to the Staff

Hopefully, I will be able to update the forum in a few days. I also asked them to explain why it didnt qualify for the star. Stay posted!! Report this Post to the Staff

I dont know if I expect it to get the designation, but I would really love to know what the graders are looking for. It is so subjective and what I have read, all the graders have to agree on the designation unanimously. If anyone disagrees, then it loses it. It is a really pretty coin, much better than the tiny photos that I posted. It has 3 rings in yellow, green and blue. It is also very close to FT designation, but weak on the right lower band and I think it will miss it. Will see in a few days. Report this Post to the Staff
