2x2s, Trays, And Cases - Coin Community Forum

Wyvern_64 New Member United States 19 Posts	Posted 07/28/2019 02:22 am I'm working on filling out folders and series albums for some coins, but I have lots of random others that will never go in a folder or album. My current solution has been rigid plastic 2x2s in a hard plastic tray (no dividers, not made for 2x2s) in a cardboard box. It worked fine for a while, and the rigid plastic 2x2s nested and stacked better than the cardboard type 2x2s, but I think it's time for an upgrade. I'm looking for a tray like this but haven't found many good options: https://www.translinesupply.com/tra...ts-8112.aspx I also want a box or case that fits multiple stacked trays and can latch closed. Also, once I get a tray made for 2x2s with divisions, I can ditch the hard plastic 2x2s (that tend to fall apart) and go to cheaper cardboard ones. Do the sticky (non-staple) type have any harmful chemicals to worry about? Thoughts or ideas? If you have something similar and can show example photos, that would be appreciated. Thanks! His trays are only $1.50 each https://www.tebostorefixtures.com/j...ys-pads.html a great deal compared to $20+ from most other companies, he is primarily a wholesale dealer and I'm not sure he deals directly to the end user you need to look into that or call them first. Can't hurt to try at least, at those prices. Also Google "2x2 flocked trays" you will find many for well under $2.00 each from quite a few suppliers, mostly Chinese I'd bet, I'd try to buy from a US distributor, if I was getting them, but you could get 10 trays for the price of a single one at any "coin retail supplier" These may not fit 2X2 holders as they are for rings and jewelry, but I'm betting they have coin trays somewhere in inventory, as they do a lot of business with coin dealers and make many of the showcases you see on bourse floors.
