Worn Down Connecticut Quarter - Coin Community Forum

While I can't tell you how this coin became so worn, I can tell you that it didn't leave the mint looking this way. Normally coins don't wear out in ~20 years, so I'm thinking someone intentionally ground this one down to be so smooth. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 04/11/2020 3:53 pm Looks like it was sanded and polished to remove the devices. An attempt to make a mint error, with a normal coin.
