From what I know looks to be damage or a Cud error. The experienced peeps will could tell. I'm thinking you'll wanna post up the full coin obverse and reverse to determine for certain

Yes, full and sharp photos of the coin's obverse and reverse would be welcome. As it stands now, the detail in question looks like post-strike damage--certainly not a die break (or Cud)

with a violent hit the '3' took. It can't be a Cud - Cuds always involve the rim when a part of the die falls away.

Cuds only involve the rim. Struck with dies similar to this....

I wanted to post the pics of obverse and reverse of the coin and have been trying for days but apparently I can't upload images anymore and don't know why. So I'm gonna have to give it up. Before I log out for good though I would like so add that there is no damage of any kind to the coin. I don't know how that tiny spot could take such a "violent hit" without another mark.
