It's Thursday, so almost the weekend or if you want Thirsty Thursday could technically be the weekend.
So, I got lucky and got almost $900 in halves from one of the branches I cycle through. I'm going through the coins now and came across this 1983 P half. Take a look at the pictures to see the gap between the head and the letters "R" and "E". Has anyone ever seen this and know what it's technical name is? And most importantly, is it of any value above face value and the scarcity of 82 and 83 coins? Much appreciated!
There may have been Feeder Finger Damage on the die and when they removed the marks off the die, then it weaken those devices. Note how they are all butting up to the bust? Note the affected areas compared with the arrows? Note the same affected areas by die polishing on these examples.
