I found this the other day in a Coinstar reject tray. I tried to use Google Lense, and found some similar coins, but not this specific one. It's too worn to see any identifying words or numbers, so I'm hoping someone here can help since I'm not really a coin collector and don't have the experience to track it down myself.

@stil, first welcome to CCF. Second, that is a pretty interesting find for a coin star reject slot. I agree that it is likely Roman, so I've move this thread over there to get the right eyeballs on it.

Perhaps, but the "IO" on the reverse 10:00-11:00, along with the kneeling figure on the left, might suggest "REPARATIO REIPVB".

It is likely to be Gratian, Theodosius or Valentinian. Your best hope is to see if you can match any of the letters on the worn obverse to one of these emperors.

For what it's worth it may well be the 'usurper' MAGNVS MAXIMVS
Or Mag Max .
As the monetary value of the coin is @25 cents
It's best to exaggerate !
Some have even speculated that MAG MAX is connected to the origin legends of King Arthur
Why not ?
So you have a genuine coin of King Arthur
Sounds better than a coin of 'I dunno' worth about a quarter !
