Need Help Identifying If 3 Kreuzer Is Counterfeit

realeswatcher Pillar of the Community United States 1962 Posts	Posted 04/04/2025 7:29 pm Hmmm, curious issue. From the surfaces - or just the left side of the obverse legend - that HAS to be cast. Curiously, though, a lot of the 1696s seem to come from awful dies, rusted/broken. OwlBuffs Valued Member United States 70 Posts	Posted 04/06/2025 9:43 pm Thanks! That link you sent is helpful as it is similar to my coin - the obverse legend is weirdly stretched. There is curvature on the left side of the coin (same area where the obverse legend / letters are stretched). It's like someone took a rolling pin to it and rolled it but didn't do it all the way. I couldn't get a great picture but you can see it from my pic above where half of the coin is slightly raised vs the other half. Report this Post to the Staff
