I've heard through YouTube that there either "is" going to be or is rumored to be a "diamond finish" version of these two coins. I believe I heard part of the 2 coin set.
I have decided to reactivate a few of my Peace & Morgan subscriptions. I did the Uncirculated versions because especially the Peace dollar sounds like it should be pretty awesome looking.
I had a sub for the 2 coin set of 2023 and also resumed that one, pending more info on that finish.

A lot of speculation and very little information. As usual if you don't have them on subscription you will probably be disappointed.

Thanks, I'm wondering where the rumor originate from?
If it's the 2 coin set, it's out this fall, so plenty of time to figure it out. I can chicken out if I want to.

For what it is worth,

The Only Silver dollar that IS going to be a Hundred years old Anniversary of the Peace and Morgan silver dollar series Is the Peace dollar.

Peace dollars were minted in 1921, 1922, 1923, 1924, 1925, 1926, 1927, 1928, 1934, and 1935 Only.

No Morgans were minted after 1921.

It's about half way into the video. He talks about it several minutes.
There is no description of the finish on the 2 coin set. Just says they have "stunning finishes".

Yes it stopped being a centennial issue after 2021, understood. Money to be made, I guess. I'm just intrigued about this finish.

To look in to what this possibly could be, your may notice someone posted something about using diamond dust to polish, I would say it must be the working dies or the planchets (master die doesn't make any sense to me) to achieve a sort of wet look polished coin. Maybe later I can research if any other mint has used this effect. Or could be an anti counterfeit type finish similar to what the Canadians have been using.
I'm very curious where this goes and the validity of the root of this story.
