I've been toying with the idea of doing a type set album for awhile. I really like the idea of doing a Dansco 7070. Unfortunately, the price is a bit much for me at the current moment for the type set albums. Also, not to mention, there are a lot of coins that I feel that are a bit out of my price range in the Dansco. So, for now, the Whitman Type set album is a good alternative and much cheaper. I've actually had this for a few weeks now. Bought it around the same time with several other Whitman albums which I opted to return. Some of these coins are a kind of "in progress" and some I plan to keep in here. I don't have very many, so far. No coins so far on this page

I've got the Dansco 7070, and yeah, there are holes I have no hope of ever filling. In fact, if I ever obtained coins like that, they'd be slabbed for authenticity's sake. I've only ever freed one coin from a slab.
I'm liking the Whitman albums and have a few.
Looking good, Humanist.

Thanks everybody!
@ Vector Ze, I've been pretty tempted to try out a 7070. There's one problem, I have a lot of series/sets of coins going on already. So I've basically been adding whatever kind of "spare coins" that I have to this Whitman type set. I haven't gone out specifically and purchased anything for it. I may one day, though.
Before I do that, I'd rather work on what I have going on currently.

This is very rewarding to look at.
I have the 7070, and I have to say that I think the Dansco looks nicer. The 7070 is brown with tan pages. I think the Danco's blue theme goes better with coins than the tan.
The only caveat is that the 7070 has some strictly 19th-century coins that I like to have in a type collection, whereas the Dansco is only 20th and 21st century.

Great start! Every time I see the Whitman album makes me want to start one. The 7070 is cool and all but alot of them would be unattainable for my comfort level. If I were to try it, I'd probably just do a slabbed version of one.
