Continental Sterling Henry III Imitation Penny

I kinda bought it because it was a "hot mess"

I think it's pretty certain that it's not a "real" henry III penny. It is made of good silver though.

With a little bit of imagination I think the obverse is hEVST?R (or G) VS REX with the EX behind the sceptre

I think the "ON LVNDE" part of the reverse has to be taken as the end of the legend so working back from that the preceding letters might be NVNDE?P (or R)

The engraver seems to have been quite excessive with the pellets in the central short cross. There appears to be an additional grouping of 4 pellets at 12 o'clock.

My general thoughts is that it is a Germanic imitation of a Henry III penny. A bit further away from the source than the low countries who had their own style (and generally knew what they were doing) but still part of the sphere of influence those Henry III high silver content penny's had.
