During the past four weeks, I haven't had much luck searching the three Brinks boxes that the manager of a local bank orders every week for me. But my luck changed dramatically this week. I found a Franklin "ender" in the second box that I opened -- and subsequently found three 1964
Kennedy half dollars and three coins that contain 40% silver in that box.
Although the second Brinks box didn't have any silver enders, I found two more 1964
Kennedy half dollars and four more 40% silver half dollars in it. The third box was even better -- it yielded a
Walking Liberty half dollar, three
Franklin half dollars, and another 40% silver coin. Each one of these silver-rich boxes also contained several uncirculated 2017-D half dollars that probably were part of the same collection dump. I will tell the bank manager that next week her team will enjoy another pizza lunch.
Because each box contained several 90% silver half dollars, I hope that the three boxes I acquire at this bank next week will contain additional valuable coins.
