Hello experts.

Sorry if this topic has been discussed already, but if it has I haven't found it. There's a couple questions I have.

I just received the 2011 Boreal Forest toonie. On the obverse the date is on the bottom of the coin and there is no RCM mintmark.

Also, just received the delightful 6 coin set of 2011 wildlife parks quarters, and they don't have the RCM mintmark either. What's going on? Are these minted elsewhere?

Just thought I would ask. Thanks for reading.

These particular coins do not have the Mint logo on them, not all coins do. I am not sure how it is decided if they do or not.

The log is NOT a mintmark,it is a logo or trademark. It does not appear on coins where the reverse design comes from an outside source, most likely for copyright or trademark reasons.

Thanks for your responses. Mintmark, logo, trademark or whatever..... I was just wondering if anyone knew why these coins didn't have it on the obverse.
