I found this today. I don't really collect Breaks/Gouges/CUDs but I found this one interesting. I have read some people say Cuds must be on the rim. So is this considered a Die Break? Gouge? Is it a keeper? Maybe I'll start keeping them.
None of the above, it is just a common die chip aka "Memorial hornet's nest". A Cud is a specific type of die break that affects the face and shank of a die, it will always emanate inward from the rim.
