Was at the pawn shop and I saw a 1993 silver eagle. Its been scratched up and bumped around a bit but the price was like 32-33 bucks. Should I go for it? How can I make sure I got a genuine one?

I'm sure it's authentic, if he's a reputable dealer. You could also weigh & measure it, & do the spin & ring test. Silver has it's own distinct sound.

If it's an ounce of silver, at that price you really can't go wrong. No numi premium, just silver bullion.

Went back and bought it for 33 bucks. First ASE ever. First silver coin above 1/2 dollar obtained. First silver purchase ever. I measured the coin dimensions and I had them weigh it although I couldn't see the machine readout the values checked out. How much is the usual premium for ASE?

ps got a penny at the Coinstar weeee....

at current spot price its worth $30.70 for the silver.
There are premiums for certain years, proofs, reverse proofs, and some may have the reverse design from a previous year. All those I do not know.
