So today I went to a coin show last minute to grab up a little silver with some money I had in my wallet.
I ended up grabbing
dimes @ 2.25
quarters @ 5.50
half dollars @ 11
I purchased

dimes
1917 S Mercury dime G+
1930 Mercury dime VG
1931 Mercury dime G
1938 S Mercury dime VG+
1958 Roosevelt dime BU

quarters
1898 Barber G
1915 D Barber G
1925 SLQ G
1927 SLQ G
1963 Washington BU

Half Dollars
1939 S walker F+
1944 D walker F+
1952 D franklin VF+

cool thing is that all the coins I bought are hole fillers except for the 1952 D franklin (big upgrade though) and the 1927 slq. Oh well they will be trade bait in the future!

I also asked about buying bulk silver, many weren't selling due to the low prices. I found one guy who was selling at 22 to 1. I am going to get in contact with this guy later this week. I was upset when dealers helpers would ask dealers how much they were selling bulk 90% for and the dealer would ask who wants to know, look at me and then tell me $26 to 1 or $28 to 1.
I hate it when it seems like dealers are trying to take advantage of me because I am a 21 year old kid.

Oh well. I had a fun day. This is the most I have spent at a coin show. Right around 73 dollars. I had a blast though.
I might see if my girlfriend can take some picture for me.
I thought I did good, what do you guys think.
Rest in Peace

If you got stuff you wanted, you did great. And it sounds like you had some fun there too, so a good day, right?

It is too bad that dealers are not always polite, but I just figure that I will not get the best information or the best deals because I am a low-end buyer. I just refuse to spend a lot until I really, really know what to look for.

I am going to a local coin show at the end of the month and for the first time I will be bringing a shopping list with me because I have finally decided on some things to collect -- but it took me a year to made that decision.

Anyway, you have a bunch of 'new' coins so

I saw guys selling at 22X today also. Just crazy that last month they were paying 28X and selling at 30X.
