--I found this in a bank roll.
Not sure if this belongs in the Forum at all, but interesting to me.
--Exactly the same diameter of a LMC.
--The copper looks "right", as from an old cent.
--The 'planchet' is much thinner than a cent, but is convex ("dome shaped"), so it takes up about the same space in a roll as a cent.

Looks like somebody had some fun in metal shop. LOL

It is curious that somebody would make something like that and then somehow it ends up being used for change. I doubt it came from any mint. It is curious.

I agree.
The curious thing is that it looks as if "punched" from sheet metal, is precisely round, and is exactly the diameter of a cent.

except for the precise "roundness", the rest of the workmanship is metalshop :)

I'm Emma and that is my coin!

Ok...I'm not Emma. That is an odd thing to find though. Very neat.

I suspect it's a crude "love token". Looks like Emma was cashed in...
