Nope, not really...

I have a quarter someone engraved "CAM" on... Probably someone's initials.

The "A" may have been a store promotion, or just someone messing with a metal stamper...
Rest in Peace

I have a Morgan with initials carved into it. I have puzzled over it for years --trying to guess the meaning or purpose. Sadly I think it is meaningless.

At least your nickel looks like somebody was 'engraving' rather than carving...although it seems to be stamped -- but nickel requires a lot of pressure to stamp. My poor old Morgan was probably scratched with a nail.

A birthyear gift for Nicola?

A visual answer to "What is this?" - "It's A Nickel."?

He had a new set of letter punches. It's kind of like when you give a kid his first hammer, the whole world becomes a nail.
