I'm looking to create my own custom display case for some coins. Does anyone know if this Acrylic plexiglass is PVC free? Are all acrylic plexiglass pieces PVC free? Please check out the link below and let me know. Thank you.

Glad you posted that. I was looking for some of that for a decent price. No indication of PVC but if going to the store, see if there is a manufacturers name on it and try contacting them for complete information.

Plexiglass is Poly(methyl 2-methylpropenoate), PVC is polyvinylchloride two totally different plastics. I can see no reason why they would be mixed. both a hard somewhat brittle plastics, plexiglass is clear unless dyed, while PVC is typically opaque. Either one may have a plasticizer added to make it more workable but this is seldom done with plexiglss.

Capital Plastics has been using acrylic plexiglass in their holders for more than 60 years. It is free of plasticizers, but the down side is not scratch resistant nor exceptionally light. The issue for the OP is not the window of the display case, but the sides, bottom and the interior furnishings that may chemically react with the coins inside.
