I have a set of coins that I'm selling for a family member. I don't have any idea of where to start on finding a value for them before I list them on ebay. This is what I have...
1968 & 1969 uncirculated set from the Mint
1875 German 2 cent
1896, 1906, 1903, and 1900 Indian Head One Cent
1921 One dollar
1944 Mercury dime
1936 Mercury dime
1935 Buffalo nickel
Uncirculated Susan B Anthony dollar from 1979
Nazi 1941 10 cent
1858 Flying Eagle
1936 Half Dollar
1776-1976 One Dollar
Quarter Dollar with Flying Eagle on back and Liberty word & Lady Liberty
Quarter Dollar with Flying Eagle on back and Liberty on the front but this one is dated 1923
1776-1976 Half Dollar
1943 Silver Penny
1911 United States 5 cents I believe with the V on the back
1962 Half Dollar
1912 Half Dollar
Nazi 1940 10 cent
1952 Roosevelt dime

Thanks for your help!

Well, you have your work cut out for you. You could get a book on coins to find out their approximate value or check on auction sites for similar coins. Numismedia has a web site that has recent sale prices of sales made by dealers -- again, these numbers are not all that precise.

As for grading, you can find a lot of what you need to know on this site. In the column on the left you can find a category for US Coin Facts. Click it and from there you can select your coin and the year. You will find the weights of the coins and what things to look for when grading. And of course, you can post picutres here and let us take a shot at grading the coins. I'm no expert but there are plenty of them here and they are very generous about sharing their expertise.

Im sure your local library has a few coin books on values and how to grade.

to CCF Sara. Is the 1921 Dollar a Peace or Morgan? There is a close date variety known on the 1979 SBA Dollar. Check the Nazi coins on e-Bay for prices sold there should be a few there. The 1858Flying Eagle Cent has a few varieties known for it. The 1943 Silver Penny is really a Steele Cent from WWII. Post photos when you can it helps a lot.
